acre, 365 island Lake Vermilion. Children’s activities
include: beach campfires, cook-outs, and exploring Vermilion
by power boat, canoe, kayak or paddleboat.
Meals & Lodging:
All cabins have complete kitchens and evening meals can be
catered to your cabin. Cabins are hand crafted of pine and
cedar. Each has multiple baths, a fireplace, deck and screened
porch.

Lake Vermilion in northern Minnesota is a
40,000 acre and 365 island gem situated between the Boundary
Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and theVoyageur National Park
near the Canadian border. It is also the home of Ludlow’s
Island Resort, a third generation family operated classic
property serving guests for nearly 70 years.

Choose from countless adventures or simply unwind. Enjoy
Lake Vermilion in canoes, kayaks, paddleboats or try water-skiing
and tubing. Play tennis, golf or racquetball, hike private
trails and return to the resort for a relaxing massage by
our therapist. There are daily activities for children emphasizing
our woods and waters environment. Fishing derbys, cook-outs,
scavenger hunts, sandcastle building, and sailboat races,
are just a few of the things to keep kids active. There is
a private camping island just 400’ from the main resort
island for overnights and there are numerous on-the-water
picnic sites throughout the lake.
